Happy Hump Day! Today’s Wedding Wednesday post is going to cover hair and makeup. I’ve been asked by a few engaged friends lately what I thought about paying for hair and makeup services for the wedding versus doing it yourself. So, I thought I would share my thoughts and a few reasons why I decided to pay for my bridesmaids and me to have our wedding hair and makeup done by a pro 🙂
Hey loves! I wanted to share some bachelorette party ideas with you all for today’s Wedding Wednesday post. I recently went on one of my best friend’s bachelorette trips, and it was very different from my own party. I thought it would be great to share these two trips with you, as well as some other fun ideas!
Well loves, it’s summer again, and you know what that means? Yep, it’s wedding season! I have two weddings coming up in July that I’ll be attending so I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect outfit. Luckily though, I’m a bridesmaid in one of the weddings, so I don’t have to worry about that one 😉 For the wedding where I’ll just be a guest, I did happen to find a dress that I absolutely love, is perfect for a wedding, and also versatile enough to be worn again. So, if you’ve got a wedding coming up and need some ideas on what to wear to a summer wedding, then keep reading cause I got ya girl ;p

Today I want to talk to you lovelies about the “other white dress.” We spend soo much time searching for the perfect dress for the wedding, but what about the other bridal events? Have you thought about what to wear for your Engagement Party, Bridal Shower, Bachelorette Party, Rehearsal Dinner…the list can go on! I had 4 different white dresses for each of my bridal events, and I’ll admit, I had to buy them on a whim! I didn’t plan ahead and found myself running around searching for the perfect little white dress, so I’m hoping this post gives you some inspiration on what to wear to your own bridal event!
In general, it’s best to wear solid colors to your engagement photo shoot, especially if you’re having them done somewhere that already has a lot of details (like a garden) because you don’t want to clash and look like an eyesore. Here are 5 tips that I think are important to keep in mind when choosing your outfits, and below that I’ll put a few pictures of engagement photos that I love for each season of the year 🙂
Picking out my wedding flowers was hard for me because I had this idea in my head of all of these beautiful flowers that I wanted to have – a.k.a. peonies, peonies, and more peonies. Well, I got a wake up call when I found out that peonies were only in season for a very short period of time in the spring (in Portland anyways), and if I wanted them in my wedding I’d have to purchase them from an indoor greenhouse and they would be MUCH more expensive. So here I’ve broken down some flowers that I think are really great for weddings.
