Happy Friday lovelies! I know it’s 3 days in to March, but I still want to share a few beauty product reviews with you guys. These are all beauty products I’ve been using for the month of February. This month I’ve had a lot of issues with my skin. It’s been ridiculously sensitive and dry and I’ve had crazy breakouts that have been so bad and made me feel so self conscious that I actually started using prescription acne medication again #thestruggleisreal Oh and also, you can shop the products by clicking on any photo! (except for the last one cause trust me, you don’t want this product lol). Without further ado, let’s get in to February’s beauty product review!

beauty product review

#1 Yes to Tomatoes Blemish Clearing Facial Towlettes

yes to tomatoes

This first product is something I bought that I’ve been seeing all over the place and just thought they might be worth a try. They’re pretty cheap ($5.09 here at Ulta.com), and you get 25 wipes in a pack. I do use these for my face, but what I really like them for is my body. I already have acne products that I use on my face daily, and I don’t like to mix too much, so instead I just use these wipes on my chest, shoulders, and back (cause yes, I do get the occasional “bacne”). They really dry out the blemishes pretty quickly! I was having some breakouts on my chest and I saw a noticeable improvement after only 1 towlette! The main ingredient is salicylic acid, and the product is 97% natural with NO animal testing 🙂

#2 Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant

dr. brandt microdermabrasion

You guys, this stuff is NO JOKE. When they say exfoliant, they mean dead skin murderer. I only use this product once a week (I use a more gentle exfoliant daily) and when I do, I’m confident there isn’t an ounce of dead skin left on my face. It’s even uncomfortable, just like real microdermabrasion lol (which most people don’t think hurts, but I actually do!). It’s pretty expensive (available at Ulta.com here), but definitely cheaper than in office microderm.

#3 Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer

juice beauty review

OK, so this is the first product on the list that I’m actually not impressed with. I really liked it when I first started using it, but after a few applications, I decided it wasn’t for me. First of all, this product is not for sensitive skin, which I have had lately and is probably one of the reasons why it didn’t work for me. However, I 100% feel like this product does not absorb in to my skin whatsoever! I will put it on in the morning, and hours later it still feels like it’s just sitting on my face, instead of soaking in and hydrating my skin. I do think that if you have dry skin and need age defying benefits, then this product would probably be great for you, but for me personally, it just did not perform. If you want to check it out, it’s available at Ulta.com here.

#4 Philosophy Take a Deep Breath SPF 30 Gel Cream

philosophy product review

Since the Juice Beauty moisturizer didn’t work out for me, I decided to try this gel moisturizer from Philosophy. I really wanted to try it because Philosophy is an amazing skincare brand, and I’m really trying to stay away from cream moisturizers. I didn’t realize that this was actually sort of a cream when I bought it, and it does seem to be making me break out a little bit. However, it definitely soaks in to my skin and I love that it has SPF 30. It’s also really affordable and is available at Ulta.com here.

#5 Winco Razor Blades

winco razor review winco razor review

Last but not least, these razor blades definitely made the list for being an “oh God, no!” product. They are so weird! They’re almost curved outward, and it feels like the only part of the blade that is touching my skin is the middle…I get razor burn super easy with these, and I’m way too nervous to shave anything except my legs with them lol. I bought them at Winco because they were cheap and I was out of my Venus Spa Breeze razor heads, and let me tell ya, it was the worst decision I made since eating fast food 3 times in one weekend…and that was a pretty bad decision lol. Moral of the story is, just buy the good razor blades!

That’s it for my February beauty product review. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any of these and what your thoughts are, and what products you’re loving lately!

xo,

B
