A few days ago I went to the Oregon Home Magazine’s Taste of Summer Party. The party was held at Departure, a shwanky lounge on the roof of The Nine’s Hotel in downtown Portland. It was a GORGEOUS day, sunny but not too hot. I had packed an outfit for the party, but when I put it on (in my car on downtown 3rd Ave LOL) I realized it was wayyyy too big #WhenTheDietPaysOff. SO, I ran in to Francesca’s at Pioneer Place and picked up the cutest flirty summer dress! The best part? It was under $50.00!

Flirty Summer Dress
This flirty summer dress was absolutely perfect for the party on Tuesday. The cut is extremely flattering, especially for my body type. I need a dress or skirt to hit right at my mid-thigh or slightly lower, and this dress does just that. It’s also a wrap style, so it’s cinched in at the waist. This, paired with the ruffled a-line hem makes this the ultimate flattering and flirty summer dress!
Now, a question for you…have you ever needed an outfit for an event and had to pick something up last minute? That was my situation on Tuesday before the party. When I saw how big my skirt was on me and how weird it looked, I kind of went into a shopping frenzy LOL. I went in to Forever XXI and bought 3 shirts without even trying them on! I swear, it was like I had lost my head. I think it was a combination of not wanting to look like I was wearing something way to big, coupled with hunger #HangryGotMeLike…
