If you’re ever been to Medford, Oregon, you’ve definitely seen the two plateaus that stand over 700 feet above the ground. These are called Upper and Lower Table Rock, and they have some of the most spectacular views of the Rogue Valley! During my Memorial Day Weekend trip to The Valley, I hiked the Lower Table Rock with my mom and dad.

It was such a beautiful day for a hike! I’ve hiked the Upper Table Rock in the past, but this was my first time hiking Lower Table Rock, and I must say, Lower Table Rock is definitely harder! It took us about 3 hours from start to finish, including a mile long walk across the top to be able to view the Rogue Valley, and short break to have a snack.

We even did a little geocaching while we were there! If you guys ever get to visit Southern Oregon, I would definitely recommend hiking the Table Rocks! If you’re a beginner, try starting off with Upper Table Rock (wish we would have known this on Sunday, as my mom is definitely a bigger! But, she was a trooper and made it to the top!).

What other hikes do you guys like in Southern Oregon? I’ve done Acid Castles and the Britt Trails, but that’s about it! Let me know your recommendations in the comments below!

Also, be aware of mosquitoes! They are out in full force on the trails and I’ve found 8 bites on my legs, hands and in my hair (random) ever since I got back to Portland!
