Hey loves! I’ve been wearing the same distressed denim jeans on repeat lately, likely seriously, almost every day LOL. Since I’m trying to listen to my gut more when I get dressed, I’ve been wearing more “urban chic” types of looks (or hippie chic as I like to call them!). Do you guys ever have those mornings where you’re getting ready for work and staring at a closet full of clothes, but feeling like you have nothing to wear? I’ve decided when I feel this way, I need to quickly get dressed it whatever I feel most comfortable in. I’ve found that when I do just this, I come up with these hippie urban chic looks, so I’m rolling with it!
To me, “urban chic” basically means laid-back but very stylish street style. I wear a version of this look every weekend, and I would probably dress like this every day if I could. These distressed skinny jeans from Express are my current favs, and they’re available here. I highly recommend picking up a pair (or two!) of these, because they’re super comfy and flattering!
For that slouchy, laid-back, cool-girl vibe, I love adding this marled grey kimono shrug from Forever XXI. I bought this guy years ago so it’s no longer available, but here is a really cozy marled grey cardigan from Gap that I really love as well! I love this mauve racer back tank for that slouchy vibe as well. Mauve is one of my favorite colors lately, especially a cool toned mauve like this. I have no clue where this tank is from, but there is a similar version here and here!
The item that ties the look together, is this necklace from Forever XXI. I actually picked this up on a whim one night when I forgot my outfit for the Fade to Light Fashion Show and had to stop by the mall for a quick replacement. As soon as I saw it I thought it would go with so many outfits, so I snagged it up! You can find necklaces like this at a lot of different jewelry stores, and they’re just great go-to statement pieces for tying looks together!
What weekend looks do you guys have on repeat lately? Let me know in the comments and have an amazing week!
