The Christmas before last I was down in Southern Oregon and realized I forgot a top for going out. Luckily though I had brought my really pretty red satin and lace slip from Victoria’s Secret to sleep in, so I tied that sucker up in a knot and wore it as a crop top with some black skinny jeans. It worked out so well and I got a ton of compliments, so I thought I’d recreate the look and show you how you can style lingerie for a fun day look!

Versatile Lingerie Pieces

I thought I’d link a few different lingerie pieces that are versatile and can be styled in different ways. My favorites are satin slips (like this black slip) because they can be knotted, and teddies because bodysuits are a big trend right now! This black lace teddy is one of my absolute favorites!

How to Style Lingerie in new ways!

I recreated the look I was telling you about above for daytime wear by styling a taupe satin slip tied in a knot with high waisted denim jeans. The ones I’m wearing here are Flying Monkey brand and I would highly recommend them if you are postpartum because they’re super stretchy and comfortable! I also layered a chunky knit sweater to add a more casual vibe, and these wedges from TOMS are my favorite, they’re so comfortable I can literally wear them all day and they don’t hurt my feet!
