Best mom jeans

At six months postpartum, I can officially say I have my “post-baby” body. My hips are probably not going to get any more narrow, and I’m not going to lose any more weight from breastfeeding. At this point, I think it’s finally safe to buy some new clothes to fit this new bod, and the first thing I’m on the hunt for is some good denim. This can be so hard to find though! I need something with just the right amount of stretch, a high waist to hold in my less than full strength abs, and I also need them to be cute and somewhat trendy…should be easy, right? Well, I’ve tried on A LOT of jeans lately and I’m super happy with what I’ve found! So to save you all the trouble of trial and error, I want to share the best mom jeans I’ve found for my new curves!

Where to Find the Best Mom Jeans

I’ve actually only shopped at three different stores for jeans post-baby, and one of them might surprise you! First up is of course, Nordstrom Rack. This is where I first went shopping when I was a few months postpartum and needed jeans. I still couldn’t fit into any of my old denim jeans at that point, so I was looking for something not too expensive. Nordstrom Rack is great because they have ALL the price points. Literally if you are looking for denim under $30, they have it. But if you’re looking to spend a little more, maybe get a little bit better quality or options, they def have that too.

I ended up going with a pair of Paige straight leg frayed hem black denim mom jeans. I’ve linked these a couple times (see here) and you guys have SOLD THEM OUT! I shouldn’t say I was surprised since I love them too, but I was shocked at how quickly they sold out after I shared them on my IG with you all (if you want to be able to shop my Insta looks, then follow me here!).

The second pair of jeans I bought were actually from…drum roll please!…Zara! So I won’t lie, Zara sizing is weird for me since it’s a European brand; I actually bought these jeans in a size 32 that way they would fit my thighs. I’ve actually always done this though, I just end up having the waist taken in as much as I need that way I get the perfect fit (I HIGHLY recommend doing this). You can see how I styled my Zara mom jeans in this post here from NYFW!

Lastly, I’ve been shopping around at Nordstrom lately to find some pieces that I can invest in that will last me forever. I recently found two pairs of denim there, one from Levi’s and the other is Topshop, that I’m obsessed with! They are literally the best mom jeans I’ve ever had touch my body LOL. These Levi’s make my booty looks SO good, they’re a true high waist and the perfect wash! And these Topshop jeans are my favorite mom jeans of all time. I love how they remind me of the 80’s. They don’t have much stretch at all so definitely size up (I got a 32 and need to take them in in a couple places).

Ok ladies, I know there are some moms out there who swear by their mom jeans…let me know where you go to find the best mom jeans cause I need more recommendations!

xo,

B
