Hello my lovely b-listers! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I went down to Southern Oregon for some family time. The weather was perfect all weekend! Here’s a recap of what I did and what I wore, plus a bunch of info on my favorite store in Southern Oregon!

I flew Alaska Air from PDX-MFR and it was a really short flight, only 45 minutes. I always have a great experience flying with Alaska Air, and they always have reasonably priced flights from Portland to Medford, which is great because I hate the drive.

The first thing I did after getting in to the airport in Medford, was go to Elmer’s with my mom for breakfast. The waitress was really nice and made sure we had everything we needed and our food came really quickly. Mom and I just shared a plate – the best part was the pancakes! So delicious!

Friday was a work day, so after breakfast I headed in to my mom’s office to get some work done, then we went to see my Nana and Papa for a quick visit 🙂 This weekend was all about family!

After visiting Nana and Papa, mom and I went to the Rogue Valley Mall and just looked around a bit. I’ve been looking for a cute pair of over-the-knee boots, and I have my eye on this pair here by Steve Madden, but I still want to look around a bit. I’m totally the type of person now as I get older that has to think about it for awhile before I make a big purchase, and as I’m planning on spending around $80-$100 for the right pair, I want to make sure I’m getting exactly what I want.

snacks

That night I was pretty tired and my dad wasn’t going to be getting home until around 7:00pm, so mom and I decided to run to the store and grab some snacks and a Papa Murphy’s pizza (a tradition from when my brother and I were kids – pizza, usually from Papa Murphy’s, every Friday night 🙂 ) and head home to watch Harry Potter lol Do you think we had enough snacks?!?!

The next day, mom and I went and visited my grandpa for a bit at his house, then headed in to my favorite town in Southern Oregon – Ashland!

We spent a couple hours just walking around and looking in our two favorite shops. My favorite shop is Papaya Living, and my mom’s is Paddington Station! Although, Renaissance Rose used to be my favorite store when I was in college and was going through a hippie phase ha ha 😉

OK, so a little about Papaya Living…it is the cutest freaking store ever! I spend literally at least an hour and a half just wandering around and look at everything.

They have really amazing smelling candles and perfumes, and everything in the store just has this bohemian and whimsical vibe to it. Plus, downstairs they have a little clothing boutique with brands such as Nikibiki, Veronica M, and Free People.

The best part though? If you spend at least $20.00, you get a really cute reusable bag with your purchase, and the bag is always one of the beautiful designs that they have on their wall hangings, wallets, or purses (I have at least 5 lol).

After walking around Ashland, we headed back to the house to relax (a.k.a. watch more Harry Potter), then we went to dinner with my brother, mom and dad, and Nana and Papa. We went to Wild River, which is somewhere that we frequent often for their amazing pizza and beer. It’s a local place that was actually founded in Brookings, Oregon. This time however, we went for their $10.00 prime rib special, and it was really good! We all had prime rib except for my bro, who had fish and chips. It was a little weird to not eat pizza, but hey, sometimes you gotta switch it up 😉 If you guys follow me on Snapchat (theblistblog), you got to see how freakin’ huge that prime rib was too!

Well, that’s about it for my Southern Oregon trip! It was a quick trip to see my fam, but I feel like I got a lot in in a short amount of time 🙂 If you guys ever get down to Ashland, definitely visit Papaya Living and let me know what you think!

Also, be sure to try the Lithia Water, as it’s a mineral water harvested from the springs of Ashland and will keep you looking like a young water fairy for the rest of your life 😉 (OK, maybe not, but still try it!).
